Thirty Years in the Making

For thirty years, founder Robert Matatov lived among precious things.
In the heart of New York, he learned the language of diamonds, watches, craftsmanship, and rarity —

building a career around objects created to be treasured.

Yet over time, the pieces that stayed with him were rarely the loudest or most extravagant.

They were the pieces carrying a history.

A gold band that could never be sold.

A pendant passed from one generation to the next.

A jewel whose meaning had become greater than the material from which it was made.

Through decades in the trade, Robert came to understand that true rarity is not simply measured in carats, stones, or scarcity.

True rarity is permanence.

THEN CAME HIS DAUGHTER

Thirty Years in the Making

Becoming a father changed the question.
It was no longer only about what makes a jewel beautiful. It became:

What do we leave behind for the ones we love?

Robert imagined a piece his daughter could wear one day — and perhaps, decades later, place into the hands of her own daughter.

 

A jewel capable of carrying a father's love forward through generations he would never meet. He did not want to give her a trend.
He wanted to give her time itself, made wearable.


And from that promise, Sapirion was born.

The name Sapirion draws from the Latin sapere —

to know. to discern. to be wise.

Within its sound is also the quiet echo of the sapphire, a stone historically associated with truth and constancy.

Together, they express the philosophy at the heart of the house:

Coffee's mission is to offer love and hope to those in need through funds from a great cup of coffee. We want to inspire and educate our coffee lovers in ways that enhance their experience with us and encourage them to be an outlet of hope for others. 

We want to create a coffee culture that is built around quality, sociability, and affordability so that everyone can enjoy our product and share in our outreach. Our goal is to continue to grow our business in ways that will allow us to give more, this will include things like scholarships for local graduating seniors, food programs, and much more! We have BIG plans for coffee and appreciate you joining us on this journey!
